Definitions of some of the therapies provided:
Swedish: A relaxing full-body treatment at your pressure preference, from light to deep, to melt away stress.
Hot/Cold Stones: Used to enhance relaxation and can be combined with Swedish Massage for an even greater therapeutic experience.
Deep Tissue: Heavier pressure/compression and a slow glide work deep into the muscles and connective tissue.
Myofascial Release: Lengthening of connective tissue (the fascial web) used with deep tissue to release constriction.
Muscle Energy Technique: A direct and active technique that engages restricted muscles through contractions against pressure. Typically used with Deep Tissue and Myofascial release.
Active Release Technique: Muscle activation and range of motion (ROM) movement applied with compression and traction to free up deep restrictions in muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
Myoskeletal Alignment: A form of bodywork that examines a client’s full body structure and focuses on mechanical movement restrictions, misalignments of the bone structure and fascia and treats these specifically.
Tool Assisted Soft Tissue Release: The use of specially designed therapy tools which allows access to stubborn trigger points and restricted tissues that are too painful or diffcult to loosen using manual therapy.
Touch for Health Kinesiology: A system of kinesiology that tests specific muscle groups that correlate to the meridian system of the body in Chinese Medicine. After imbalances are identified, the areas are treated in order to restore free flow of energy to your body.
